THE TOUR :
Discovery of the
Normandy and Val de Loire regions with some of France's most famous
landmarks and spectacular scenery : green countryside, long golden sandy
beaches, elegant sea resorts, orchards and gardens, peaceful and flowery
villages and rivers...During this 3 day circuit our guide will enthrall
clients with the history of the French Royal family and provide a rich
experience of regional customs and traditions.
ITINERARY :
Day 1 : We cross the western districts of Paris and take the Normandy
motorway as far as L'Aigle. Traditional brunch at the restaurant "Le
Dauphin" (provincial bourgeois decor). We continue onto
Mont-Saint-Michel and arrive around 1pm. Guided visit of the
interior of the Abbey on top of the mount followed by free time
(until 4.30pm) for enjoying the local animations. Dinner and
overnight stop in Angers at the Mercure Lac de Maine (or similar).
Day 2 : Departure
from Angers at 8am with short stop for an outside glimpse of the Château
d'Angers. Departure for Amboise passing by Cunault and Saumur. Guided visit of
the Château of Langeais followed by free time for lunch in Amboise. Our
afternoon continues with a guided visit of the Clos-Lucé, Leonardo da Vinci 's
last dwelling then visit of the gardens of Villandry. Visit of the old gistoric
district of Tours. Evening meal and overnight stop in Tours at the Hotel Mercure
Tours Nord
(or similar).
Day 3 : Departure at
8.30am for a guided visit of the Château de Chenonceau. We continue as far as
Cheverny for lunch at the Hotel Saint-Hubert. Our stay in the Loire Valley
finishes with a guided visit of the "Château de Chambord" (the largest and most
imposing castle in the Val de Loire). We leave Chambord at 4.30pm and reach
Paris around 7.00pm.

Brunch at Aigle : Coffee, tea, hot
chocolate, and fruit juice served with croissants, bread, butter, conserves,
cheese, fresh cream, sausages, fruit and apple compote.
Dinner at Angers : Leek tart followed by chicken with tarragon sauce and
vegetables, cheese and dessert.
Dinner at Tours : Leek tart, Tarragon flavoured poultry served with
potatoes, cheese, whipped eggs white with cream.
Lunch at Cheverny : Savoury salmon pastry, veal cutlet with apple sauce, cheese
and dessert.
