Oxford - We leave London and travel through the Chiltern Hills to Oxford - the 'City of Dreaming Spires'. Its origins go back 1000 years and its streets are dominated by the stone walls of the colleges. Our tour takes us through some of the university buildings, where your guide will tell you of famous past students and the traditions of college life that endure to this day.

Quaint old Cotswold Villages - The Cotswolds is one the most beautiful areas of Britain, with its splendid wooded valleys, tumbling streams and lovely old villages like Burford and Stow on the Wold. Here, the villages seem to grow naturally out of the landscape. We will stop at one or two villages en route.

Blenheim Palace and its gardens - On to Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. We have a guided tour of the palace to see the magnificent State Rooms, with its family treasures, then there is time to wander among the gardens and grounds laid out by Capability Brown in classic English style, or have tea before heading home.

This tour returns to London at approximately 06:45pm subject to traffic conditions.
